Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Test Series 2013

Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Test Series Analysis (2013)

It is surprising to see how closely contested are the games between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. At the end of the second day, Zimbabwe leads by a few runs with 3 wickets still in hand.

It is a good fight by Zimbabwe, regardless of being an "underdog" team. They are fighting hard and they are proving to the world that they truly deserve the test cap.  Test matches are about putting up a good fight for five days. Therefore it must be said Zimbabweans need to show courage and character for remaining days as well, if they are to impress the world.

At this point it must also be noted that the way Pakistanis are playing, they are underperforming by all standards. Bowling hasn't been up to the mark, as they haven't been able to get Zimbabwe out within a day. However, worst display in Pakistani team was by the batsmen. On a pitch where Zimbabweans are putting up better totals than them, considering the experience that Pakistani batsmen possess, Pakistani batsmen should feel embarrassed.

From Pakistan's perspective, it must be stated that they have no hope against teams like South Africa and Sri Lanka in their upcoming games if they are to have troubles against Zimbabwe.
