Babar Azam is a young and extremely talented opening batsman from Pakistan. He was born on October 15, 1994 in Lahore, Punjab. Babar's became manifest early and he started playing cricket very early and represented Pakistan as Under 15, and played for Pakistan U19 at the age of 15 in a Tri-Nation. He then represented Pakistan U19 at the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand. In that particular World Cup (2009) he was the leading run scorer for Pakistan with 298 runs. He was still only 15.

Babar Azam is currently Pakistan 19's captain in the ICC U19 World Cup that is being held in Australia. His performances even in this world cup stand out clearly. In just first two games of this world cup, he scored 75 and 106*. There is now doubt about Babar Azam's talent. In future, he is very likely to make it to Pakistan's national team.
Babar's favorite shot is cover drive and his favorite batsman or hero is AB de Villiers.
