Sri Lanka's former captain, Kumar Sangakkara, played an important inning to guide his team to a very strong total. Had he reached 200 runs mark, he would have scored his 9th double century. However, Sangakkara was unlucky and could not reach his double-hundred when his partner was bowled out by Mohammad Hafeez. The inning of Sangakkara was none the less a gem.
