Pakistan after New Zealand Match in the World Cup

Where does Pakistan stand now?

World Cup Report - Pakistan's performance

Pakistan started off brilliantly in the world cup, defying the weaker teams, and pulling a narrow win over Sri Lanka, one of the world cup favorites. Even though in the game against Sri Lanka, that Pakistan managed to win, some errors went ignored due to the victory. Those same problems arose again against New Zealand, and this time they were heavily punished.

Yes, the wicket-keeping errors. In this case, it's just one man to be blamed: Kamran Akmal. Or maybe not! A man who has failed to perform in the team for a while now (of course he is always going to desire another chance), why do selectors still keep him in the team. If there's a batsman that performs poorly, he could be given more chances - bowler performs poorly, you still try him until he gets back into rhythm. But when it's your wicket keeper, who is failing to perform, not just once, not in a  tournament, not in a season, but for repetitive years - it's a clear sign that you need to take him out! It's not easy to forget how he dropped Michael Hussey three times in an inning a short while back. Now this time, dropped Ross Taylor more than once, causing the game to slip out of Pakistan's grip!

Time to realize for Pakistan. A player who is failing to perform in regular games, how would he perform in pressure games, such as Quarter final, semi final or the final.

We wish good luck to Pakistan - either they keep Akmal, or drop him, Pakistanis would still wish the team "best of luck"
