Australia Ahead of ICC World Cup 2011
Can Australia make it 4 Consecutive?
Just a few weeks ago, when Australia lost the Ashes 3-1, it seemed as if Australia stood no chance at winning this World Cup. They had seen defeats against nations like Pakistan, that had not beaten the Aussies since 1995 - and also a series defeat against India! Performance of Australia had been extremely poor and another world cup win seemed impossible.
However, just before the World Cup, Australia has come back strong, and really strong - defeating England in the 7 match ODI series (dominantly 6-1). Beating England surely proves that Australia is well prepared to win the world cup (at least they stand a good chance at winning it). After all Australia is still number 1 in ODI ICC Ranking.
